Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the mobile application Luqua (the "App"), developed by Luong ("we", "us", or "our"), handles information when you use the App. Luqua is built around a simple principle: your personal workout data and camera images stay on your device. The App displays third-party advertising (Google AdMob), which requires an internet connection and involves limited data collection by Google as described in Section 9. Please read this policy carefully.

1. Summary

We (the developer) do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data with us or store it on our servers. Luqua has no accounts, sign-in, or login of any kind.
All data generated by your use of the App (workout history, statistics, and settings) is stored locally on your device only.
Camera images used for pose detection are processed entirely on-device and are never recorded, saved, uploaded, or viewed by us or by Google.
The App shows third-party ads through Google AdMob. Serving ads requires an internet connection, and Google may collect limited data (such as device/advertising identifiers, IP address, and ad-interaction data) under its own policies — see Section 9.
You can permanently delete all locally stored data at any time from within the App.

2. Information We (the Developer) Do Not Collect

We, the developer, do not collect, receive, or store any of the following on our own servers:

Name, email address, phone number, or any account/profile information (the App has no accounts)
Location data
Photos, videos, or audio recordings
Your workout history, statistics, or settings (these stay on your device)
Health or medical data

Luqua does not integrate analytics SDKs, crash-reporting services, or cloud/backend platforms (such as Firebase or Supabase). The only third-party service that collects data is the Google AdMob advertising SDK, described in Section 7 and Section 9. Apart from serving ads, the App makes no network requests and sends none of your personal or workout data anywhere.

3. Camera Use and On-Device Pose Detection

Luqua uses your device's camera to analyze your body posture in real time and provide exercise form feedback and repetition counts. This is powered by Google's ML Kit Pose Detection running entirely on your device.

Camera frames are processed in memory, in real time, and are immediately discarded.
No image, video, or frame is ever saved to your device's storage, your photo library, or any remote server.
No camera data ever leaves your device, including to us or to Google.
You may deny or revoke camera permission at any time in your device's system settings; doing so will only prevent pose-detection features from working.

4. Information Stored Locally On Your Device

To provide the App's core functionality, Luqua stores the following data locally on your device, using a local database (SQLite) and local app preferences. This information is never transmitted off your device:

This data is associated only with your device. We have no access to it, no copy of it, and no way to identify you from it.

5. How to Delete Your Data

Because all of your data is stored only on your device, you are always in full control of it:

In-app deletion: Open Luqua, go to Settings → Data → Delete user data. After confirming, this permanently and immediately erases all workout history, statistics, and settings stored by the App. This action cannot be undone.
Uninstalling the App: Uninstalling Luqua from your device removes the App and all of its locally stored data.

6. Children's Privacy

Luqua is a general-audience fitness app and is not directed at children under 13 (or under the relevant minimum age — up to 16 — in the European Economic Area). We, the developer, do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Advertising is provided by Google AdMob under Google's policies; we do not request tracking and ads are served non-personalized by default (see Section 9). If you believe a child has provided information through the ad network, please contact us so we can work with the provider as required by applicable children's privacy laws.

7. Third-Party Services

Luqua uses Google's ML Kit library for on-device pose detection. ML Kit's on-device APIs run locally and do not send camera images or pose data to Google's servers.

Luqua also uses Google AdMob to display advertising. To serve ads, the AdMob SDK connects to Google's servers and may collect and process limited information such as device and advertising identifiers, IP address, coarse (non-precise) location derived from IP, and ad-interaction data. This processing is carried out by Google under its own policies. See Section 9 for details, and the following Google resources:

8. International Users

We, the developer, do not collect or transfer any personal data internationally. However, because the App serves ads through Google AdMob, Google may process the limited advertising data described above on servers located in other countries, in accordance with Google's own privacy policies.

9. Advertising and Paid Features

Luqua displays advertising provided by Google AdMob, a third-party advertising network operated by Google. Ads (including banner ads and optional rewarded ads you may choose to watch to unlock certain in-app features) require an internet connection.

To deliver ads, prevent fraud, and measure performance, Google may collect and use limited data such as device/advertising identifiers, IP address, and ad-interaction data, under Google's policies.
On iOS, Luqua does not ask to track you across other companies' apps and websites (no App Tracking Transparency prompt), so ads are served in a non-personalized / limited manner by default.
Watching a rewarded ad is always optional; the core features of the App remain usable without watching ads.

Luqua currently does not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions. If we introduce paid features in the future, any purchases will be processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play — we do not receive or store your payment card details — and we will update this Privacy Policy before such features are released.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new features or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
